Conference Theme: Propelling Strategic Novelty in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) for the SADC region

Sub-themes

  1. Research and Analysis:– commissioning research and special studies, mobilising resources, project scoping and allocation of responsibilities; monitoring and evaluation  of progress and impact of study
  1. Capacity Building and Partnerships:- capacity needs analysis and screening of potential partnerships; liaison and facilitation of agreements, monitoring and evaluation of partnerships
  1. Policy Development and Facilitation:- policy screening and analysis; scoping of the policy; draft policy framework and guidelines; monitoring and evaluation of policy implementation
  1. Quality Promotion:- research QA frameworks; development and marinating QA frameworks in the SADC region; promotion of quality through training and development; monitoring and evaluation of QA through inter-institutional audits

Call for abstracts of  200 words: 1st April 2010
Due date for abstracts:  30th April, 2010
Notification of acceptance for abstracts: 31st May 2010
Submission of full paper (electronically): 16th July, 2010
