General Notice

The 43rd DEASA Annual Conference and General meeting will be held in Lusaka Zambia on the 19 - 21 September 2008. this is going to be SADC wide conference and all ODL practitioners from SADC countries will be represented. There will be paper presentations during the first two days of the conference and the last day, the 21st September will be the General Meeting as usual.

The Theme of the 43rd DEASA Annual Conference is: The Role of DEASA in the Transformation of SADC Educational Landscape. A total of 40 Abstracts based on the there were received from almost all SADC countries.

DEASA Research and Publication Committee has identified Prof. Richard Siacwena as the Keynote address of the Conference. Prof. Siacwena is currently the Technical Adviser in the SADC/ADB ODL Capacity Building Project coordinated by the SADC Secretariat.

The Registration Fee for atttending the Conference is ZAR 300 for DEASA members and ZAR 600 for non-DEASA members.
